Class Information

Preschool Classes – Ready Set Dance

2-3yrs old: Our 2-3yrs old and class is primarily pre-schoolers ready to bust out some moves. This class supports our brand new Ready Set Dance program, classes are specifically designed for pre-schoolers through use of a performing arts syllabus with a major emphasis on fun and creativity. These combo classes include elements of jazz, hip hop, tap, singing, musicality and ballet

3-5yrs old: Our 3-5yrs old classes and are primarily for pre-schoolers ready to bust out some moves. These combo classes include elements of jazz, hip hop, tap, singing, musicality and ballet.

Primary / Middle School Classes

Tinies: 5-7yrs: In this class, our dancers build on their jazz and hip hop using creative role play, costumes, props and will thrive from positive reinforcement. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

Sub Junior : 7-9 yrs: Our Sub Junior classes will help students to build on the basis of jazz and hip hop to popular and age appropriate music. This class will take allow each student to take the next step and learn higher level of technique than in previous classes. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/ syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

Junior Class: 10- 12yrs: Our Junior classes will help students to build continue the developmental journey in jazz and hip hop genres through use of creative and explorative movements to popular and age appropriate music. This class will take allow each student to take the next step and learn higher level of technique than in previous classes. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

Acrobatics

We’ve known for a long time that kids love nothing more than attempting and perfecting new “tricks.” Remember learning a cartwheel? We sure do, and it’s that sense of pride and exhilaration that we love to pass on to all students. The program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Developed with input from professionals and experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz you will not find a more comprehensive program. Our Acro class is taught by our qualified Acrobatic teachers and the class levels for this discipline are skill-based. The levels are beginner, intermediate and advanced and once our students have mastered the skills in their level they move up to the next allowing them to develop their skills at their own pace. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/ syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

 

Ballet

A disciplined class framework where students will learn ballet technique at different levels. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

Tap

Our tap classes have been extracted from our regular classes to help develop students who are really interested in digging a little deeper into the tapping technique and give it the time it truly deserves. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

 

Contemporary

Our contemporary classes are an opportunity to learn everything from floor work to travels to modern choreography as well as participate in exams.

 

Inters Classes

Level Dependant on technical ability (Inters 3 Highest Level = Difficult and requires at least 3 years dance experience at an advanced level) – Please talk with Shae regarding placement for this class. These classes are designed for teens who are ready to step it up, push themselves and challenges themselves and learn new and difficult technique and skills. There are opportunities for students in this class to (who chose to participate) participate in exams which will encourage them to progress through the program/syllabus and work hard to move up into the next graded level.

 

Adult Classes

Our adult classes are open to anyone who has a love to dance. We have a number of classes available to cater to the various skill levels. These are fun, energetic classes that get the blood pumping and offer the opportunity to meet new people.
